I got back from school an hour and a half ago. Today happened to be minimum day. Not to mention, spring break’s over. T.T
Demo, to talk about recitals. They went pretty well. First one was general for my teacher. I played Debussy’s Clair De Lune. <3 Anywho… I didn’t mess up and I was able to express the song fairly well. The 2 people that went after me were superb. And the one that went before me. <3 Fantasy Impropmtu. I got my Advanced level CM certificate.
Sunday, I went to the MTAC Honors recital for our branch. I happened to be… the second to last person playing on the schedule… again. Which gave me even more pressure, since Chopin’s Polonaise in A Major isn’t my best song [I just happened to play it the best during the evaluation.] I was quite nervous. My hands were freezing cold ans shaking absurdly… My hands aren’t that big… and this song requires energy… that I don’t have. It’s loud, which doesn’t fit my personailty. I played, without stopping. I messed up on a few keys, but that was expected. Plus, for this song, it’s more the emotion that the song creates rather than right notes, etc. I got… errr… a medal? If that counts for anything XD. For being one of the err… 200 some people to make it to branch honors, out of a 1,300 something number of participants. I guess that was okay. =\ People who scored 100% percent on their test got trophies. It’s funny that most everyone that got trophies didn’t participate in the recital. eg: they took CM levels under level 5… So I’m guessing… their tests were much easier than say, even level 5. =\
If I get good enough, by 11th grade, I’m going to take Panel. Since I got above 905 on my music theory test, I don’t have to retake it. =3
So yup. I’m gonna try to get a recording of my Clair De Lune up on my website over the summer.
ne ne^^ a medal is awesome!! see? i told you you’d do good =D and its hard to do anything when your hands are cold x.x *has to type with cold hands alot* bit you passed~~ *gives you candy*
