Robotics

Follow-up on yesterday’s entry about HP: There were a couple of rabid fangirls at the theatre. >>; Excessive laughing, at one point screaming, and random noises of confusion, excitement, etc.

Today was our first Saturday robotics meeting. I learned quite a bit of C… I tried learning it before… but it was really hard without a compiler. *shrug* Again, I feel so n00bish. Well, I’m slow, but when I learn things, I can adapt, etc. PHP and C are similar… but in many ways, different. I don’t normally have to define function variables… and characters and the whatnot… and well, my three most common mistakes were: not putting a semi-colon after each line (which is weird because I always have semi-colons when I work with PHP), forgetting the & sign when I am using scanf (user input value), and forgetting to state the second function when I call multiple functions above main (). (I probably called stuff incorrectly, but that’s okay. xD) Gosh, we really need to show a ton of dedication. I won’t have any spare weekend time. =\ We meet again next week for the same time period as this, minus the 2 hour long parent meeting. This week, we met from 8:30 am – 7 pm. Heh. I have to postpone my birthday party because of a carwash for robotics… and the problem is… that one of my friends can’t come on a Sunday (I was planning on having it Saturday, 17th, but that’s when the car wash was.). Any later, and another friend is going to Colorado. x.x Well, I’ll decide later. After build season starts, we’ll be working from 8:30 to 5 every Saturday, from 1 to 5 every Sunday, and from 3 to 8 every Wednesday, which doesn’t include last minute robot construction (last year, some people went home at 5 am!). Yup. ._. Dedication. I got to use my mom’s laptop today~ And I made a few basic C applications that find averages, etc. I could use C to calculate algebraic equations. ._. lmao.
