An hour and a half ago, I was about to drop dead with sleepiness

Now I’m wide awake.

Let’s just say that I have this one incredible friend, a genius of his own making. And, as always, I enjoy chatting with him because the subject matter tends to be very interesting. XD; This time was no different, and I’ll probably end up posting parts of the conversation later because I saved the IM.

Basic summary:

He’s always been a very nationalistic Chinese. And you all know how relations with Japan aren’t the best right? Anyways, in his first message to me, he asked if I liked J-pop and K-pop. He knew I liked J-pop and was mostly asking for the later. Then he immediately went on to talk about BoA… and I mentioned Lee Hyori, who all of the Korean guys at my school seem to be crazy for… and DBSK, and Rain/Bi, and Se7en…. list goes on. So why the sudden interest in Korean culture? He’s one person that reads extensively, just for plain enjoyment, which is his many admirable traits. Anyways, he’s been reading about the “Korean wave” and how it’s traveled to China and abroad, discovering similarities between our cultures along the way. That, and he told me he liked this one sophomore at his school. XD (aww) Then we turned to discussing the superficiality of the adjective “hot” and various random aspects of relationships. He’s the first guy friend I’ve mentioned my loneliness (in regards to my best friend at school having a girlfriend and talking to me less… It’s awkward when it’s just a couple of us and they’re always embracing) to. That went on to discussing arranged marriages and the superficiality of having boyfriends and girlfriends in high school, where the majority of the population would only care about people’s appearances. Anyways, he’s quite the analytical, intellectual, and philosophical person. And somewhere in between, he mentioned Winter Sonata and watching it in China.

Haha, he might not think he has many traits girls in high school would like, but he’s definitely one person I admire, and he’s totally one of those lovable kind of guys. XDD

Absurdity of the new wave of “otaku” (*cough*). Yes, so since when was Masashi Kishimoto the manga-ka for Azumanga? Get your facts straight! And the typos! I’m not sure whether or not I should be amused or actually react seriously towards the article. Do I like that animanga’s gaining popularity? NOT IN MY RIGHT MIND. I liked it when it was just a small subculture. Becoming mainstream makes it have more similarities to fads. x_x That and do get the majority of their commentary from a sole 14-year-old girl who is dropped off at Borders or some other bookstore to read manga is not my idea of research. “Oh, my first manga was Inuyasha.” Posh.

As for today, I have a test in math next week Monday and a test in physics next Wednesday. Forces acting on systems are driving me partially insane. I’m sitting next to an incredibly sharp thinker and he is able to comprehend problems so quickly, as opposed to me. Although I’m not as slow as other people~ (thankfully) But more people to admire and look up to, ne? ^^

In art, I’m helping some local charity organizations with some simple Photoshop works, at my art teacher’s request, which means that I’ll have some better things to include on my college resume/application.

Robotics meeting was today. We ended up cleaning the room, and I had to take notes, of which I need to retype.

And I basically slept the last 3 hours prior to my conversation.

Two interesting things that happened at school:

I have a friend that I’ve known since 5th grade. We started going to my old school the same year. She was in 6th grade when I was in 8th, and she continued her parochial education, whereas I went to a public school after 8th. Anyways, she has a friend… that I don’t know as well as I should. As I was coming out of math class today, a person came up to me and asked my name and if I remembered her. Wow, she’s changed a bit from how I remembered her. XD

Second. I hate lunch lines with a passion. First, people cutting in line as soon as they aren’t visible to the staff. asdf*kick*jkl; Second, when obnoxious and rude people reach right past your neck/shoulder, and you say excuse me, don’t you hate it when people remark sarcastically “you’re excused”? Retarded fools. Just because I’m short and their sophomores this year does not give them the right to pick on me because they think I’m a freshman. WHY CAN’T I LOOK MORE LIKE A JUNIOR?! (either people take me for some 7th grader or some 40-year-old nurse because I tend to be in a uniform-isc blouse and skirt… and the fact that I look old, according to my parents, if people look at my face… you don’t see the youthfulness in it anymore, and I totally blame it on stress and schoolwork.) Anyways, that girl… was listening to her IPOD, which, technically, isn’t allowed… and singing to the song. EW. Horrible voice. That and she was shouting to some guys in front of me… Nuisance + annoyance. Even before the person in front of me got his lunch, she told me to hurry up, and I’m seriously thinking to myself, “What’s her problem?!” and I saw aloud, “Shut up.” It seems like she just kind of asked me what I said again, in partial disbelief, and I told her that I said shut up. After being so rude to me, I have every right to say that to her. And then she was talking to her friends about it “That girl just told me to shut up.” And I can’t remember the exact words she uttered out of that mouth, but they were quite threatening in a sense that she said something about me possibly regretting what I said. It reminds me of people saying that when they’re ready to hire some hitman. -_- So… I get mixed reactions. Some people call me a bitch. Others threaten me. OH JOY. And I can never make a decent comeback.

So, have I done any homework? Nope, Nada. Study for English. Study for Spanish Destinos. Study for a history “assignment/quiz” of sorts comparing and contrasting the American Revolution and the War of 1812, the later of which I have not adequately gone over.

And totally remind me to watch the Densha Otoko 11 Special and the mini after-episode as soon as it’s subtitled.
