…
was… uhhh…. bittersweet?
I went to my friend’s house at roughly 5 and got to Citywalk at around 6 PM. We thought we’d never get Wii’s as we looked at the line, but we made it at about 400 something. In all, I think the EB Games had roughly 600 Wii’s. So yeah~ We got wristbands with numbers that reserved our spots in line, but we basically stood in line for 12 hours. >_>;; Well, I made a few friends. I think the girl to guy ratio was about 1:3. Annnd I got to take a picture with Adam Sessler (you know that guy on XPlay on G4 [old TechTV]?).
That was pwnage. All the pics are on Joshu’s camera, atm. We also spotted Kevin (can’t remember his last name). Annnd…. Joshu got to play Excite Truck on a Nintendo-decorated segway~ So cool xDDD;; So yeah, I claimed a Wii sports cap. They ran out of beanies… and we missed the shirts playing the Wii. >_>; ‘Cept I almost got one, but a mob of really “big” guys kind of suffocated me in between them and pushed me out. D: <--not on purpose.... And even though they were supposed to take the white band from me, they forgot to~ They took it from Joshu tho. >_< But I didn't notice until he pointed it out after I paid. Annd ummm... So although it was a midnight launch, the lines were so long... we ended up getting our Wii's at... 5 AM? =x I was sitting out there on the floor
with a jacket over my head... it was pretty cold? Wow. I was about ready to go crazy. By the time I came home, the sun was almost up. Waahhhh~~~ Haha and I *accidentally* gave them an extra $60 more... *so out of it* but they gave it back~ at first they said I paid $100 less (they were out of it too) xD;;
Yes, useless babbling.
It was interesting.
As for the Wii, I got home at about 6AM and went straight to bed. Didn't wake up until 3 PM. Set it up. Accidentally put the disk in the wrong direction. And ate lunch. Then proceeded to create my Mii character and play tennis. Fuuun~ And started TP. *O* I just got my fishing rod, but now I've gotta do homework. =x
-Math homework
-Physics test
-Physics lab
-History notes
-History test
And I found out my uber cool web design friend goes to the same sushi restaurant that my parents spend 45 minutes driving me to practically every weekend. *jealous*

Edit: Oh the guilt.
As a side note, even though we weren't filming anything there, I've never seen so many random G4 employees in one place. All of them excited and smiling, just like everyone else. Even cable television's own Adam Sessler and Kevin Pereira were there... to buy a Wii like the rest.
^ Sooo... they weren't there for any filming purposes but to really umm... enjoy the time. >_< *sad*
