Eek.

What with coming home at 9 every night and having 5 tests and a quiz this week… in addition to all your usual homework, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT NODAME CANTABILE SP. D: (ISWAK Season 2 Episode 1 wasn’t interesting…)

I chide myself… for missing 2 extremely generic (practically SAT vocabulary) questions on my Renaissance poetry exam. >_>; And my Dr. Faustus essay was less than stellar? I kept on repeating the themes of rejecting authority and seeking knowledge over and over and over again. My brain stopped functioning. Ew.

I have a calculus test tomorrow. I hate this chapter. Well, actually, it’s not too difficult… or I should hope it isn’t. Improper integrals, directional fields, and linear initial value problems (plus your everyday decay, growth, and logistics models).

And I have a government test (which I don’t care about since I have an extremely solid A in that class).

My AP biology test was interesting. I like Mendelian genetics (we’re behind, aren’t we?) but I absolutely loathe probability. So, I ended up guessing on all the more “complicated” probability questions (which really aren’t hard, but I blanked out)… I normally guess on SAT probability questions too. I suck.

This week has been tiring. We’re supposed to have a final robot design by the end of tomorrow night. After that, we’ll finally be able to break off into our subsystems. Yay! Electrical & Programming Posse ♥

Well, last weekend was kickoff. I got to see 3 of my JPL friends even though we didn’t do much talking. It was sweet, and now I’m nostalgic. I’ve been chatting with them quite frequently as of late and it’s just a lot of fun?

*cough*

Cyute. :3

Thoughtful. Hmm…

Most of the graduated robotics team members came to visit us. The good ol’ days. I miss them terribly. T_T

To go back further… I have a ton of programming/government homework/reading to finish before the end of the month (end of the semester).

I think I’m pretty much set on going to Caltech as opposed to MIT. MIT for grad school!

Kouhaku was fun (although I was so busy with homework that I didn’t have much time to enjoy it).

Of course, I spent 5 or so hours watching the Fred Astaire and (Ginger Rogers?) marathon on TCM.

Oh, we did some filming for our Dr. Faustus play… (Or rather, we wasted a good hour in a 2.5 hour filming session for a <1 minute scene because one of our group members didn’t memorize his lines. =_=) But we have to reshoot (despite limited time) because our voices were too soft.

Because said member was lazy, the rest of our team went to Barnes & Nobles to work on our script. Unfortunately, they didn’t have Internet, so we ended up going to my friend’s house (former robotics team member). Since all of last year’s seniors were on break, we ended up spending the entire night (until 10:30) chatting and having a good time (although we did finish quite a bit of writing).

My party went well. I had over 35? (maybe over 33) of my friends over (my parents invited at least 10 more of their friends). I got flowers? xD I think I want to press their petals (although it may be a bit too late). I pressed the rose petals from that one time in San Diego (ehe).

I actually pressed the rose petals from another rose I got sometime in junior high.

My friend gave me a SUPER JUNIOR DON’T DON ALBUM AND POSTER. <3!

And of course… Disneyland~ The fireworks were cancelled because it was too windy (biggest disappointment ever). I went on Space Mountain 3 times (I rode it for the first time that day!). And I had lovely clam chowder. Hehe. I was hoping my other friends could come but they were working on college applications x_x (For once, I was finished before everyone else, and yet I couldn’t do anything!)… I did go with some awesome people and I met my friend’s friend who was SO NICE.

Erm..

I think that pretty much covers it. (Friends-locked entry coming next) ^_~

I was going to post my Merry Christmas entry, but I never finished it (It was a locked post).

2007 sucked. My great uncle passed away. I just hope it’s okay that I’m thinking about happier things than dwelling on it. I didn’t know him too well, but my great aunt is suffering. According to my parents, when they operated, they couldn’t even trace the cancer. He seemed to be doing great, but he contracted pneumonia and everything went downhill from there. I hate how procedures that are intended to prolong one’s life end up shorting it. It’s just… to me… incomprehensibly wrong.

I’m about a week behind in terms of reading entries. I’m not sure if I’ll ever catch up. So I’m just here to wish (kind of later) everyone a happy new year (may 2008 be infinite times better than 2007) and I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas break.

YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST.
