As superficial as that may seem.
Every year on Valentine’s Day, class committee members walk around the school passing out flowers to people. Some people get enough for bouquets. Others… just continue writing lecture notes… just wondering…
*sigh*
Every time someone has a birthday, she comes to school with flowers, balloons, presents, and cake. Every year, I kind of wish the same thing would happen to me. Sometimes, I just want to feel a tiny bit special at school. I have friends. I love them. I love them for coming to my parties and making those few hours more special than they would’ve been without my friends.
Hmm…
Then you have White Day. Yes, it’s a commercialized day, and pretty much meaningless. But it also falls on March 14th! Pi day! And Albert Einstein’s birthday! Haha…
It’s like… Valentine’s Day is the day to make me feel a bit depressed (I mean, friends give each other stuff)… but then I always wonder if anything will happen on White Day (knowing that no one knows anything about it)…
Maybe it’s like a secret wish?
‘Nywho, I got the sweetest Valentine’s card from MIT (huh?!)
We could model the compounds in chocolate,
Trace the genomes in any bouquet,
Or offer a market assessment
Of the future of Valentine’s Day.
We could fill both your ears with the music of speres,
And we would, if it helped us to say
That we love MIT with a passion
And we hope that you’ll join us some day.
*sigh* Back to work…
