My mom wanted me to go shopping with her. Actually, I wanted to go first… but then I changed my mind. I want to get out of the house, but whenever I do, I almost always go to the same malls… and it’s getting really old! Plus, I hardly ever buy anything besides food, and spending $4.10 or so for a cup of Jamba Juice almost every time I go adds up. Ughh… I feel disappointed when I don’t buy anything. >_>; But, aside from animanga “collectibles,” I’m normally pretty good at not going over the top when it comes to spending money, and even though I’m not typically aggressive, I live for good deals and economy pack everythings. Conflicting interests, as you will now see (since everything I want to buy right now is way up there in the price range)! So, anyways, my mom decided to go shopping alone. I think she wastes a lot of money and buys things impulsively. =.= I shouldn’t follow her example. ._.; Yesterday, my mom dragged me out of the house (well, not really), because she didn’t want to go to Home Depot by herself (my dad left some things there).

1. She gets lost. Wow. I had to tell her how to get there locally (she doesn’t drive on the freeway, which makes me extremely impatient sometimes), even though I’ve only ever gone there once by surface street. Then, when she exited, she made a left instead of a right…… thinking we had come from the left. >_>; Uhhh… That was only maybe 15 minutes after we got there.

2. I ended up helping her find plumbing parts (the second time we went). =.= And that whole reluctant outing stole several hours of my weekend.

3. Okay, so I’ve been waiting patiently for some new Macbook Pro revision to surface into the laptop market before making any purchase. I don’t want to pay a premium for soon-to-be outdated technology (not quite). >_>; But because that would mean I would need to borrow the Toshiba laptop for 2 or so months, my mom has this brilliant idea to buy a new laptop. =.= Sunday LA Times. Office Depot Ad. $500 Gateway Laptop. = Buy, buy, buy!

It looked nasty. :x But the specs were okay… I just didn’t think we had a need for such a mediocre laptop. And to spend $500 like that… >_>;;

I also am kind of bitter over the fact that DDR1 RAM costs more than DDR2 RAM. =_= You would think that older technology meant lower prices. -_- 2 GB cost $160 at Office Depot, although I could probably find it cheaper elsewhere. =.=

So yeah, spending the $500 would have completely defeated the purpose of my waiting for a new Macbook Pro. In that case, I would feel better if I took advantage of the deal, got a new laptop PLUS an iPod Touch (for $1800), waited another two years, handed my MBP to my brother (which would still be a lot better than that crappy Gateway), and bought myself a new Macbook Pro. -_- What lasts longer? This Toshiba sucks, and it’s only 2 years old. Sure, we paid $1100 for it. But it was on sale. Anything on sale is a big no-no. At least that’s what I’ve learned from experience. Pay the premium for a laptop that can last you a good many years. Look at Josh’s MBP. He got his laptop before me.

AIM Away Message:

lol. i love shopping, but only when i actually buy something. >_>; otherwise, i come home feeling disappointed. =.= better not go shopping then? macbook pro, new phone/mp3 player?, new backpack, $220 worth of animanga artbooks, a winter coat, and a coach bag. >_>; and then i’ll have no incentive to go shopping.

i will have lost all hope in myself if i actually got all those things. or maybe not. just the coach bag. >>;

in a state of indecision about the laptop. -_- phone contract up. if i can, i’ll go for another ericsson or possibly some samsung. if i could be like most of my other friends, i’d get an iphone, but the data plan costs scare me. x_x and i could get an ipod touch right now. stupid mac deal ending on the 15th. maybe i’ll buy one later, since, as of right now, i own 0 apple products.

new backpack that doesn’t have tiny holes at the bottom :x with which i can store a laptop. the only laptop bag i have is a messenger bag, but it’s really uncomfortable to use, since my stupid toshiba is still too heavy. shoulder pain. /weep

and one day, i’m gonna buy those artbooks. =.= if only i could go to japan ;_; i could stuff them all in carry-on, and i wouldn’t have to worry about the $80 shipping

winter coat! i want a coat with a gorgeous collar. >_< maybe when i visit massachusetts...

as for coach bag, why pay so much just for a silly brand name? -.-; that's how i used to think, but lately, i've been really eager to get one. ._.; coach outlet, maybe? >_>;
