Exploring LA

While first designing the concept art design for Lelouch, the series’s original character designers CLAMP had initially conceived of his hair color as being white. Ageha Ohkawa, head writer at CLAMP, said she had visualized him as being a character to which "everyone" could relate to as being "cool", literally, a "beauty". During the early planning stages for Lelouch’s alter ego, Zero, CLAMP had wanted to create a mask never witnessed prior in any Sunrise series. While developing the character during the initial planning stages, the series’ core staff at Sunrise, director Gorō Taniguchi, writer Ichirō Ōkouchi, and the production team discussed numerous possible influences for the character with CLAMP, such as Kinki Kids and Tackey and Tsubasa.[2]

Ahahahaha…. Takki and Tsu-chan <3. Oh, and since I don’t know much about the Western Zodiac, I didn’t realize that Lulu was Sagittarius.

Today… I went to Little Tokyo for the nth time. :P

I’m always so reluctant to buy things at Kinokuniya now that I’ve seen gashapon, etc. at much lower prices in Japan. ;_; Everything’s so tempting. I’m still upset at myself for not buying those CCS artbooks when I had the chance. I’m hoping I can find them at AX, but who knows? They’re out of print… same goes for the Pioneer release of the 2nd movie *grumble* I blew my chance to buy it.

We went to the Curry House at Weller Court. What exactly is black curry? This was dark brown… but the curry I had in Shibuya was SO GOOD. ;_; Evan and I were trying to read hiragana/katakana.

I recognized convenience store :o xD Konbini, no? Hahaha, but the best part… Evan was trying to make out the katakana under videos… Ehh, I don’t remember how it was spelled, but it read "adult." I was cracking up. XDD

We spent a lot of money on ermm… kind of pointless things lol. Mochi $1. She bought me an Itachi thumbnailook figure (ridiculously priced though) and a TRC Syaoran CLAMP in 3D Wonderland figure. Such small little toys…. and they cost so much @_@;;;

Then at Kinokuniya, I bought 5 Code Geass Chara Fortunes… The horoscope version anyways. Luckily, none of the ones I got were duplicates… and they were $2 cheaper than they were at Anime Jungle >.< (I also bought this Bleach pin set for Evan – exchanging birthday presents? or something like that…)

Bleh. It seemed like a good deal, but I just checked Hobby Link Japan… and they’re getting rid of inventory so a box of $24 only cost $36… but I guess shipping would add some (normal price is $70+)… Oh well… Euphie, Lloyd, CC, Lelouche, and what’s her name who don’t care about (Villeta?)… *sigh* Maybe i should’ve just gotten the $7 normal Chara Fortune ones………..

Why must imports cost so much? Ahhhh….

Note to self:

Angie needs to buy CCS 2nd Movie Pioneer Special Edition, CCS English/Japanese manga, Sailor Moon Mixx manga, Yue + etc. cel, Sailor Moon manga artbooks, CCS manga artbooks….. maybe a set of Clow Cards, the 2nd Spiral Artbook….

I think that’s it… for now. The Gundam SEED Chara Fortune set was so cute, but I couldn’t find any that weren’t ridiculously priced. T.T

Anywho, after we went to Little Tokyo, we ended up going to the Kodak Theatre. LOL. It would’ve been cooler to stay after 10 or whenever curfew is…. We walked around… erm… Went to the Chinese Theatre… took a picture with a fat ol’ Saint Nick… (lol he tells us after we take the picture that it’s not free…………….), noticed there was some premiere across the street (at the El Capitan Theatre – Adam Sandler’s new movie = Adam Sandler was there?), and had Beard Papa’s boba. o_O Since when did they serve boba?

Anywho, it was fun n_n… I haven’t been out like this since that last time some friends and I went to the Paseo/Old Town.

I heard the Americana looks gorgeous this time of year. I guess that’s where I’ll be going next.
