What is a fanlisting?

[As taken from the TheFanlistings.Org] A fanlisting is, quite simply, a listing of fans. Fanlistings are similar to any other group or club you might join. You can join a fanlisting to 'show your love of something.' Most fanlistings have small codes, buttons, or plaques available which you can display on your own website if you'd like. Our site definition of a fanlisting is: "A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans."

Ikuta Toma

Ikuta Toma is a current leading junior of Johnny's Jimusho. He is a close friend of Yamashita Tomohisa (also known as Yamapi), and some fans have thus created the TomaPi pairing. He was a former member of the J-Idol/J-Pop group 4TOPS, along with Yamapi, Kazama Shunsuke, and Hasegawa Jun. Unfortunately, with the creation of NEWS, 4TOPS was forced to disband and Yamapi joined the new group(North East West South). Since then, Toma's popularity has somewhat diminished but he continues to endure. Recently, he has starred in such dramas as Akihabara@DEEP, a hilarious adaptation of a Japanese manga about the otaku stereotypes of Akihabara, along with Kazapon. He has since taken a step away from the conventional J-Idol singing roles and focused more on stage plays and acting, performing roles in such popular features like Azumi.

My first exposure to Jyanni's was around the time Tackey & Tsubasa performed One Day, One Deam and Sotsugyou for Inuyasha, but it wasn't until the end of last year that I was introduced to other groups like KAT-TUN and NEWS. When I started watching video clips of Takki and Tsubasa, I'd often come across videos of chibi!Takki with chibi!Yamapi. It was around then that I discovered Toma, often watching him in clips with Yamapi (Tomapi is so cute! I adore their friendship). Then I watched the Shounen Club's 2005 Christmas Medley. Wow. Toma was amazing. His voice was just so captivating and powerful, and I it was then that I really started liking him. Sadly, 4TOPS had already disbanded when I came to learn more about and admire him, but each individual member of 4TOPS had so much potential, and I'm kind of disappointed because Toma deserves so much more than what JE has given him these past few years. Now, he's my favorite Jyanni (along with Shoon from Ya-ya-yah ^^)
